Open comedy is a new open mic comedy night starting in Leith, after a great first two shows we’re going weekly! We’ll be on every tuesday! (except April 5)
We’re building an “open” mic in every sense of the word

Entry is free and accessible for audience and acts alike.

Open mic
A range of acts, open to whoever signs up and wants to try something. Whether brand new or seasoned pros, everyone gets 5 minutes. You’ll get to see some great comedians doing what they do best. You’ll probably also get to see some future-great-comedians who don’t know what they’re doing yet
Open to All
I want this space to feel inclusive and safe to everyone, so the only rule is nothing sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or otherwise exclusionary.
Open Format
Comedy is a lot of things, not just telling jokes into a mic. This is a space for variety, so expect to see people experimenting with stand up, character, musical comedy, sketch and all other manner of ways to be funny!
