Introducing Eastern Bloc’s Level 1 Improv course! The perfect place for anyone interested in learning the principles of improv, as well as having a go at a new challenge. This class is ideal for total beginners, and is also great for anyone interested in acting, comedy or just looking to improve their confidence.
Throughout the 5 week class, you’ll learn the foundations of improv - including things like how to act in agreement with other players, and how to start short scenes from audience suggestions. We will also focus on how to use physicality to build rich environments on stage.

LEVEL 1 IMPROV FALL COURSE
DATE: Monday from September 13th to October 18th
DURATION:
6 weeks
TIME:
6:30-9pm
PLACE: The Barossa Tavern, Ó utca. 37, Budapest 1066.
CLASS SIZE: Minimum 6 participants
PRICE: 15,000 HUF for the full six-week course.
In order for us to secure the space, payment for the course will be required in full on the first day of class or before. Please pay in cash!
COVID: At the time of writing, there are no restriction regarding events. If things change, the event will be updated and anyone confirmed as coming will be notified directly via message. We’ll be following best practice to keep everyone safe at the same time as doing great improv - however, if you have any questions or concerns around safety measures, feel free to get in touch.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
Karyn Dietrich has been studying and performing improv for almost 10 years, and has trained in both long-form and short-form techniques, following programs by Annoyance and iO Theatres. She has been teaching since 2016, leading long-running workshops in Istanbul, Thailand and Hungary.
